Anything with two heads is deformed
Of the late their has been a lot of discussions concerning cults.
We probably all have been subjected to this demise at one time or another in our lives.
But I say this-- Jesus preached the GOOD NEWS and not the bad, except where the Pharisees were concerned. We as stewards, have been commissioned to compel people to come into the Kingdom of God, not to preach them into hell.
1Jn. 2-27 says But the anointing, you have received of Him abideth in you, and you need not that any man teach you, but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things and is truth and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in Him.
Aside from the headship of God dwelling on the inside of us, and the yeilding to His Spirit-- Why -- I ask do we need another ruler over us? Anything with two heads is deformed and this includes the church as well.
The Kingdom of God is by grace and a free gift--NOT OF WORKS should any man boast.
We should also remember that He that began a good work, will perform it to the end.
We are saved by the foolishness OF preaching, and not by foolish preaching.
Everything that the Spirit of God has taken from us or added to us came with a smooth transition. Yeilding to the headship of Christ will allow Him to prepare our hearts to rid us of the things that need to go and to receive the things that we need.
It was He that asked me to not erect Christmas trees, and avoid other pagan holidays-- It was He that asked me not to watch T.V., but instead spend time in prayer with Him, it was He that, told me to give the cross some skin, and remove the one that was around my neck. In everything, it was He that ordered the steps, thereby He was in charge of my concercration. I marvel at His works in my own life.
The lord said, Come to Me, all ye that are heavy laden--laden means burdened by ceremonial and moral law-- and I will give you REST unto your SOULS.
Likened unto Paul, I have learned not to confer with flesh and blood anymore, but with the Spirit of the Living God on the inside of me, that leads to ALL TRUTH.
Again, anything with two heads is deformed, and Christ is the head of the chuch.
His words are quench not the Spirit. Yet how many times have we entertained devils unaware--to our own harm, ALLOWING them to quench the Spirit of God on the inside of us, and MAKE HIS WORK of none effect. Our bodies are His temple and He garnishes them as He sees fit, but we should ALWAYS be going to Him for everything.
If we will but live a life of repentance today, we can be crucified between the two theives of yesterday and tomorrow.
