CALLED FOR SUCH A TIME AS THIS
SO....YOU WANT TO BE A PROPHET!
by Patricia Hamel
God looks down on those called to be His prophets
with such great joy. How He loves us. When one
knows that they are called to be a prophet of the
Lord such joy fills their heart. Then all too quickly
for the prophet the crushing begins. Little by little
the Lord continues to press in to remove all that
is not of Him. Many times the prophet will say
ouch and often moan and complain until they
realize that it really does no good but just takes
more energy than it is worth. We are told to be
good soldiers and endure hardness. The prophet
needs to be softened to have the heart of the Father
and yet toughened so they will not give in to pressure.
At the same time he or she needs to come to death
in their need of approval and have it stripped from their
lives. This needs to be to be removed from the prophets life.
Dying daily is the way of the prophet. Paul said, I
die daily. If you want to be a prophet get ready to
die!!! Get ready to lay all on the altar before Him and
move when He says move. You will learn to die quickly!
There will be times that you will move to an unknown
place. Little by little one realizes that their life is not
their own and Father is looking for a heart that obeys
out of love.
Some of us are more obedient than others. Then
there are those that are full of rebellion that He has
called and it all has to be dealt with.
The process is not easy. You will go through a lot of
rejection at the hands of others especially in the church.
Some will not understand your calling. Even those of
your own household will not always understand the high
standard God has called you to!
You will be mocked and ridiculed because you will not enter
into the things that they do. It is a lonely walk and often you
will want to hide you head in the sand. Alas, that does not
work either. Sometimes going to bed and pulling the covers
up over your head seems like the answer but that too is
short lived.
Plainly one comes to see that the life of the prophet is a
hard, disciplined life. Yet one would not change it for the world.
The true prophet loves the Lord with all their heart and has
a heart for His people. It is out of this that the prophet is born.
The Heart of the Father must be your heart beat. You must
love His church and not be critical of her but see her has the
Father sees her. You will be that intercessor with His heart
and you will also love His chosen people. You will hate sin but
learn to love the sinner.
You will be become one with whom He shares His secrets
and learn that you must keep confidences.
You will learn to intercede and pray the Word of God and
declare it into the earth. You will be His watchman. You will
learn to die to your flesh and get up at night when He calls you.
There will be little approval in this life for you. You will go
through life in the cave, live in a cocoon, in the wilderness
for a time and then one day you will be that beautiful butterfly
that God wants you to be!
So...you want to be a prophet! Be prepared to live in the fiery
furnace. Just when you think you got out of it, in you go again
for more refining. The Lord will lovingly refine you till you are
pure gold.
Do you feel that the Lord is calling you? Decide if you are willing
to pay the price! Spend time with Him and you will know in your
heart your calling as you wait on Him and hear His voice. He
will over time confirm it to you. This will be done through
others also who will recognize the gift that is in you. A mans
gift makes room for him.
Sometimes it takes years and yet others are told very
young that they are called the be a prophet. Jeremiah heard
early that he was called to be a prophet. There are others
who did not have it all revealed to them till midlife. They
look back and understand all the rejection and hardship they
have gone through and see that the Lord was preparing them.
God has a perfect plan. There is the prophetic gift, the
prophetic ministry and the prophetic office. Find out where you
are called.
Take time Beloved to seek Him and know for sure that He is
calling you to be one of His prophets. When you know this
press in with all His might and be all He has called you to be.
Realize that you will be in His school of learning for a long time
and that it can take even fifteen, twenty or thirty years to form
one who will one day walk in the office of the prophet and be
that gift to the body of Christ.
So...you want to be a prophet...be read to die to all that you are
so that you can be all for Him. You will become His mouthpiece,
speak when He says speak and will learn through the things
you suffer. You will put your foot in your mouth along the way,
but He will put the horses bit in your mouth and you will learn to
bridle your tongue.
Speaking in tongues is a good solution to this and being filled
with the Holy Ghost daily is a must for God's prophet.
Be prepared to be groomed by the Lord Himself and He will
work in your heart and life and one day you will be seperated
by the Lord for this office. Then in His timing He will ordain you
usually through an apostle into the office of the prophet.
You will do what you have done all along and serve His body and
you will now be that gift to the body of Christ which will require
a much greater dying to all that you are so that His church
can be all that they will be.

Milk of Amnesia
Scriptures says for us desire the sincere milk of the word that you may grow thereby. Yet many have forgotten even the first principles of faith.
Has the sincere milk become a milk of amnesia? Are we getting that which we need to grow? Why, then are we not teaching Gods Divine principles.
The word suckling is an understanding of learning.
Matt 24:19 says, woe to them who are with child and give suck in those days. Though this is in the natural, if we placed it in the spiritual aspect of the scripture, we could understand that He is saying woe to them/pastor and teachers, who are with child/sheep, and give suck or learning, in those days.
If one goes on down to verse 23, we see where He is speaking of days being shortened, less there be no flesh saved.
What was once sincere milk has been polluted in that it has become the milk of amnesia, and people forget who they serve and place their adoration on objects instead of the unseen Master. Amnesia, the SELECTIVE overlooking of events or acts not favorable to ones purpose. Leaving our first instruction and moving to the false prophets and teachers that lead to apostasy. Has Yeshua died in vain, or did He open up the way to have communion with the Father. What are we overlooking here, that is not favorable to our purpose? We repent but do not grow. An amnesia as to the truths. Have we backslid from all we have learned? Sure we are given people to point us to Him and to lay a basic foundation, but what has happened to studying to show ones self approved in rightly dividing the word of truth? Is the dividing that which one should be able to see the spirit hidden under the letter? A spirit that says I love you, repent and come back to Me. A spirit that says I am jealous? A spirit that says, have you forgotten what I have done, that we have communion? Have we selectively overlooked what He requires of us? We take without giving and that is greed. After being baptised no one wants to go to His school, the school of, come and learn of Me, I am lowly and meek. The school of kneeology. Have we selectively forgotten that He has said be Holy as I am Holy. Have we forgotten what it cost Him to redeem us? What breast are we sucking on or to put it more correctly who are we learning from? Can He call us beloved? He does this for them who lean on His breast. The DISCIPLE who Yeshua loved. Could this be a major step that we are selectively overlooking? My sheep hear my voice and another they will not follow. With all that I see and hear, I have to ask myself what is being worshipped? Are we too worshipping we know not what? Have we still an imperfect knowledge of Deity? True worship is being corrupted with all kinds of THINGS. Our God is not a thing. He is a spirit, and has a character, a character of what we are to be created in. He said follow Me, in other words, keep your attention fixed on Me.Are we under the influence of milk of amnesia, or have we just become ignorant?

Has the milk of human kindness gone sour?
Has the milk of human kindness gone sour? The sacrifice of loving kindness is what God desires rather than animal sacrifices. Even the fast that He desires is one of which we house the homeless and feed the poor. Many study the Torah, and indeed this is good, if we see Yeshua/Jesus as the Living Torah.
To become blind that one may see. To become blind to the law that one may see the Living Spirit of it. The Law could be placed in the heart, but what good is it? But God sent His Son to die that the Law indeed be fulfilled within each and every one who would but come, in that the spirit thereof be fulfilled within each and every child. The love, joy, peace, forbearance, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, and temperance, to which we are not under a law but in Yeshua/Jesus, the perfect sacrifice, causing us to be a living sacrifice, and showing forth those attitudes of character, that are acts, and invisible, and causing one to see the invisible God. As we ascribe to these attitudes, then we are able to understand that to love God we are to keep His commandments. If we use the parable of David and Nathan, we can see how that David first coveted, commited audultry in his heart, lied to himself, murdered, and ultimately proved that he did not love and or trust God. Because he was shown the err of his way, he was convicted and repented, with deep repentance, and with fasting and prayer. Do we even consider these things, when we scheme to steal from the flock to have that which we want, and starts with covetesness?
When will we learn to go to God and make our request known unto Him and learn to be abased and abound in things. Most just want to abound and abound some more, not sharing that which God has been so gracious to give, but instead to feed self and its desires. Where is the sacrifice in this? Better yet, where is the loving kindness in it. If we trust God, why is it when someone cannot afford something, they do without, when it should be shared with them? The milk of human/loving kindness, boy how sour it is. God says give, and we sell.God says sell what you have anbuy the pearl of great price. Sadly we all want to horde up and watch others do without. Sure the workman is worth his wages, but giving is what it is all about, but when one puts a price on it, some can not buy. Lay up treasures in heaven, where in the end one can buy gold tried in the fire, and eye salve for the eyes. In a dream, i have seen the sky split and the light that came forth was so bright that my eyes physiclly hurt, and I woke up saying, I am blind, as my eyes really physically hurt. What is there about Yeshua/Jesus that any would desire Him? What is it about human kindness, that any would desire it? If we looked upon it as Yeshua/Jesus still coming in the flesh would that make a difference? Sadly, the answer would be probably not, because no one desires to show forth Hs true existance within. It may cost them something, instead of them getting a return on their investment. In the end, when God consumes us as a living sacrifice, will e spew us from His mouth, because we have become sour?

The Noisome Pestilence
Every where one looks these days there are voices coming out of the temple. Many voices proclaiming different things and all are sure that their way is the way and their prophesy is the prophesy. This NOISOME PESTILENCE seems to be causing many who believe they are hearing from the Lord to question whether they are or not. Many are being led astray at the vast words that are being put out. Some are even telling people to revert to Psalms 91.
But the central message is still the same. If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves and pray, and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land. We can go to another one in exodus, which says that, if thou will DILIGENTLY hearken to the voice of the Lord thy God, and will do that which is right in His sight, and will give ear to His commandments, and keep His statutes, He will put none of these diseases/plagues upon us that He put on the Egyptians, for He is the God that heals us.
Noisome pestilence is a plague. How did we get it? By having itchy ears, but what tickles some has become a noisome pestilence to others.
What is the cure for it? The anointing. If we are anointed, then we will not be plagued by the noisome pestilence. The shepherd will anoint the head and ears of the sheep with oil to keep the buzzing of the flies and gnats from sucking the blood and eating at the flesh of the ears and head of the sheep.
I myself, having read many things on forums and websites, became a victim as well, of the NOISOME PESTILENCE. I heard many voices coming out of the temple, and because they all differed, it became as if my head was in a huge bees nest and or while in the pasture there must have been many gnats and flies. The voices became nothing more than BZZZ, BZZZ. and had my head spinning so as to brush them away. I spent time trying to discern that which was really from God and that which was not. There were so many words that they would drown out my trying to hear what the Lord was really saying. It was as if I was trying to hear from Him and yet was in this crowded room with people putting their words forth all around me. The only way to filter out the excessive noise was to remoe myself from it totally that He may fine tune me to hear His voice only and follow no other. What I have found is that the WORLD WIDE WEB/NET is just as its name, a net or web to catch prey in, when people do not take the time to pray, and instead look for words from others as a means for substance. The Lord told me that people depend TOO much on TOO many things and do not depend on Him for their substance.
Having said all that I decided to do some research on the word noisome, and what I found astonished me.
The Hebrew word for word is debar, meaning a word spoken, and the Hebrew word for noisome is deber, and having the root meaning of the word debar. My final definition of noisome pestilence was quickened to me as a word spoken that literally brought plagues and mischiefs via perverse things being spoken.
I am seeing how multitudes of people are being swept into these words being sent forth, after all the power of life and death are in the tongue, and these words sent forth are sticking to something within us.
Sadly most take these words in and do not go to the Lord that He may direct their path. Instead of picking up their cross and following Him, they are picking up the words of others and following them.
I will say this, I now delete the blogs and forums that I used to run to daily, much like some do the horoscopes, which it is really no different than divination, either.
Funny, but now I am not hearing the buzzing anymore, and the pasture seems much greener, and the waters still and calm, and I can now hear what He has for me, knowing that no plague shall come nigh my dwelling.
I can now thank Him for preparing the day for me and me for the day, and I no longer hear the NOISOME PESTILENCE.
